Wily Dog Bio

Wily Dog Speaks! is written by Sandra S. McRae Sajbel, owner of Wily Dog Marketing. Sandra has been a freelance writer and marketer for 20 years. Her clients span a variety of industries: food and cooking, renewable energy, barbecue grills, fashion, medical facilities, database marketing, education, and more. Sandra is the co-author (with Jamie Purviance) of the bestselling cookbook Weber’s Big Book of Grilling, which has sold over 500,000 copies.  

A former Fulbright scholar who spent two years studying abroad, Sandra speaks French and German (and enough Italian to get her lost in a train station). She is fluent in both wine and beer. Her poetry has been published in numerous magazines, most recently in Steam Ticket and Mad Blood, and online at poetsagainstthewar.org and wordriot.org. For a brief time Sandra served as a foster parent to capuchin monkeys. She likes swimming, long walks in the mountains with her family, and does her best work off leash.
